Center launches the initiative for women related to SHGS to get Rs 1 lakh per year

New Delhi: This center has launched an initiative to enable women related to the Mandiri group (SHG) to get Rs 1 lakh per year, said the Rural Development Ministry on Saturday.
With the aim of bringing women to a higher economic order, the ministry will also provide livelihood support in the next two years to 25 million rural women associated with SHG.
“The focus will be at the diversification of livelihood activities at the household level to realize the annual revenue objectives of Rs 1 Lakh,” the ministry said in a statement.
Based on various models of women shg throughout the country, a detailed advisor has been issued for the state government, he said.
Under the mission of national rural livelihood, 7.7 crore women have been mobilized to 70 lakh shgs.
Early capitalization support for SHGS to RS 80,000 crore tones every year is being credited, according to the statement.
