Jaipur / Raipur: The two LED Congress states on Thursday denied the central statement in parliament that “there was no death due to lack of oxygen specifically reported by countries” during the second wave of Covid-19.
Health ministers Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh claim their country has never been asked to submit relevant data and therefore not report the number of Covid deaths that are medically associated with oxygen deficiencies.
Both of them question the basis of the central statement in parliament when relevant data is not collected from the state.
Health Minister Rajasthan Raghu Sharma said the majority of death during the second wave in the country was caused by lack of oxygen.
The center, in a written statement on Tuesday, has told Rajya Sabha who stated that it did not specifically report death due to lack of oxygen.
In a series of tweets on Thursday, the Minister of Health Chhattisgarh TS Singh Deo showed that “the number of deaths in a day, death with comorbidity, death without comorbidity and kind of comorbidity” is the only category search for data.
Singh Deo accused the center deliberately misleading parliament without checking with America.
“When the Indonesian government said,” No one died due to lack of oxygen during the second wave, “they may refer to Chhattisgarh – the country with a surplus of oxygen,” Singh Deo added.
