Hyderabad: The Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia has assured that the center will expand support for the development of six airports proposed in various parts of Telangana.
He also said Metro Rail connectivity will be given to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
The center will also help in expansion of airports, the Union minister said.
The Union Minister on Saturday met with the chairman of Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Pragathi Bhavan.
KCR requested support from the airport development center in Telangana because the country became the center of economic growth and hub for various sectors.
KCR brought Scindia’s notification that passenger traffic increased at the international airport in recent years.
“Direct connectivity must be increased, especially with cities in Southeast Asia, Europe, USA,” KCR said.
Scindia convinced the center to provide assistance in developing Hyderabad as an international city.
The minister said that direct steps would be taken to start the ATR operation at the Mamnur airport proposed in Warangal, among the six airports proposed in the state.
The minister said that the technical permit for the airport proposed at Jakranpally Nizamabad had been given while the proposal to establish one in Adamanabad was also being examined.
He added that the center will also check providing facilities for the operation of small aircraft in Peddapalli, Kothagudem and Mahabubnagar.
Then, speaking at a press conference at the BJP office, the Union Minister said that air traffic and passenger footsteps at Hyderabad airport had increased because they were operational.
“The center is ready for the expansion of Shamshabad Airport.
The Center will make two Brown airports – Warangal and Adilabad – Operations for ATR 72 of wefers (AT) Jakranpally, the country will return to us on land and other facilities,” He said.
