Ranchi: The Ministry of Unity of Health and Welfare Family has placed 11 Jharkhand districts in the vulnerable category due to their second dose coverage for Covid-19 vaccination among adults less than 50%.
The ministry has also advised the state government to adopt a focused approach to ensure that the coverage is enhanced by identifying and vaccinating those who miss their vaccination or abandoned.
The letter issued by Union Secretary of Union Rajesh Bhushan on Thursday to the Secretary of the Chair (Health), Arun Kumar Singh, a copy with TOI, emphasizing the need to accelerate the vaccination rate in 11 of these districts.
The letter was also aimed at Ramesh Gholap, MD from this National Health Mission (NHM) (NHM).

According to the data attached by the letter, experts are the worst districts with 27% coverage of the second dose vaccination while Sarikela only has 47.3% more than 20% less than the national average.
