Ramgarh: As many as 50,000 students, who are studying in different government schools in Ramgarh, will soon be served with hygienic and nutritious foods that will be prepared in the basic kitchen run by the Akshay Patra Foundation.
The deck was cleaned recently after Ramgarh’s government signed a memorandum of tripartite understanding with Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and the foundation in this regard.
“Akshay Patra Foundation will establish a mega kitchen centrally smile in Kothar Village near the city of Ramgarh.
The commissioning kitchen will attract investment to the Tone of Rs 22 Crore, where RS 7 Crore will be provided by CCL under its corporate social responsibility,” said Commissioner of Ramgarh Deputy Madhavi Mishra told toi.
Mishra said work for the kitchen would begin next month while it would be fully operational in 2024.
District administration officers said the kitchen would serve students from class 1 to 8.
The quality control and supply chain management will be managed by the foundation while administration will monitor quality periodically.
