JAIPUR: The Centre has agreed to supply 16 lakh Covid-19 vaccine dosages for the remainder of June and also 65 lakh for the month of July.
This follows the decision to provide vaccines free-of-cost to inoculate all types from June 21.
Since 65 lakh doses are sufficient only to administer 2 lakh vaccinations each day, the state government stated it would impact scaling the drive up.
As a result, it was written to the Centre to increase the amount of doses allocated to the condition.
From the 65 lakh dosages in July, 15 lakh doses are allocated into the private industry.
The following bunch of vaccines will be scheduled to arrive on June 24.

“When we manage 3.5 lakh doses every day, this is adequate for 2 days.
For scaling vaccination, we need further vaccines.

Though seven lakh doses can be found, the government has devised a new way to vaccinate transporters, vegetable vendors, shopkeepers, factory workers, journalists, cart vendorsand employees in restaurants and hotels, associates of resident welfare institution, pensioners in addition to beggars.
