BHUBANESWAR/KOLKATA: PM Narendra Modi on Friday declared financial help of Rs 1,000 crore for both Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand that were battered by Cyclone Yaas and stated a group of Union ministries may go to the 3 countries to estimate the complete damage.
The statement has been made later Modi undertook an aerial survey of Odisha’s Bhadrak and Balasore districts which bore the brunt of the cyclone, also Purba Medinipur at West Bengal.
Even though Odisha could receive Rs 500 crore instantly, the next Rs 500 crore will be awarded to West Bengal and Jharkhand, that could be published predicated on harm, officials said.
