NEW DELHI: As the nation is fighting the next tide of Covid-19, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday slammed on the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre to its mismanagement in handling the pandemic and stated that 97 percent Indians have seen depreciation in their earnings as a result of arrogance of the Central leadership.
In addition, he said the several mutants of coronavirus is the next reason behind its financial devastation.
Coronavirus: Live updatesThe Congress leader shared with a report which said that lockdowns levied in a variety of areas of the nation to include the next tide has left 97 percent of Indians poorer.
“One guy and his inaugural One virus and its mutants, tweeted that the Congress chief,” that the Congress leader tweeted.
According to the report shared with Gandhi, the next tide of Covid-19 pandemic appears to be affecting work in India.
It’s reported that there’s been a fall in the amount of salaried work in India mainly.
Furthermore, 97 percent Indians have seen depreciation within their earnings also, said the report.
The report offered Mahesh Vyas, chief executive officer, Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), saying that over 97% of India’s inhabitants is becoming poorer in comparison to where they had been in relation to earnings (a year ago) while accounting for inflation.
According to the report, Vyas said that salaried work in India have dropped by 11-12 million.
He said that pre-Covid-19, there have been approximately 85 million projects and today that’s fallen to about 73-74 million now.
