Dharwad: Thanks to the execution of effective works under the National Rural Work Scheme of Mahatma Gandhi (MGNREG) Dharwad can achieve good progress, said Dharwad Zilla Panchayat B Sushela CEO.
Speaking in a program to mark the MGNREG day at the ZP office in Dharwad on Wednesday, he said that under MGNREG, priorities have been given for water conservation, land water promotion and infrastructure development, among others.
The CEO said the empowerment of women and SC / STS had been given a priority, while implementing mngregs to function.
“Efforts are being carried out to instill confidence among women, by appointing Mitaka Mahila Mitaka.
Some works have been taken in Tandas through a sign of Rozagar Mitras,” he said.
