Patna: JD (u) on Saturday decided to go alone in the Uttar Pradesh assembly poll after BJP “did not count it as an ally” in a state of polls.
The State President of Uttar Pradesh JD (U) Anoop Singh Patel told TI that the party would release the first list of candidates on January 18 after a meeting with senior party leaders in Lucknow on the same day.
Patel said JD (U) decided to go alone after the BJP leader and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, when overcoming a press conference in New Delhi, did not take the name of the party as his allies at Uttar Pradesh.
Pradhan, while talking to Mediaperson after releasing the first list of BJP candidates for the first two phases of the pilot to rise, categorically said the party had an alliance with only two parties – Minister of Union Anupriya Patel-LED Party Nishad led by Nishad and Sanjay.
JD (U) is BJP allies in Bihar and also in the center.
At Uttar Pradesh, JD (U) had previously announced it to oppose the assembly poll with BJP and also allowed senior leaders and Steel Minister Uni R R C P Singh to hold talks together with the Safron Party.

Patel said the meeting of JD (U) leaders, including all state-level office carriers, district presidents and heads of all frontal organizations will also be held in Lucknow on December 18 to energize the election election.
Patel said JD (U) has collected prospective candidate biodata for seats 65 assembly while the party is in the process of holding chair sharing talks with BJP.
“Until now, we will involve our candidates in 65 seats.
The number of constituencies can increase later,” Patel said.
Contacted by telephone, Tyagi said the decision to go alone was taken after consultation with top party leaders.
He added that the actual number of seats will be decided after the right consultation with the state-level party functionaries.
