New Delhi: The University of Delhi (DU) has introduced a general entry test (CET) from the next academic session.
The proposal that must be done with the cut-off-based acceptance process has been ratified by the University Executive Board after being passed by the Academic Council last week.
MS Rawatt, President, Public School Federation, Delhi, said, “The focus of class XII students will be more to clean CET rather than focusing on conceptual learning.
Because of this decision, students will aim to secure the percentage of the threshold that will enable them to be eligible to appear On CET.
“The teachers are worried that priorities will shift to support CET clearing that requires different skills than needed to excel in the council exam.
“Within some time, it will cause loss of interest in studying strong academic concepts that are important for scientific intellectuals of the mind.
It is very important to imagine a scenario where a student even though it has received good grades in the Board’s exam, failing to clean CET.
At least, part From class XII performance must be considered for evaluating the feasibility of students to enter the DU Colleges, “Rawat added.
Sanjay Chawla, Principal of the Head of the Senior Male Middle School (GBSSS), Dilshad Garden, C Bloc, said, “Each test for students is like a battle and if this attitude does not assimilate by students in their personality, they will fail to achieve optimal results .
Many students, especially, in the flow of applied science in class XI and XII only focus on securing a qualifying mark for admission to engineering and medical colleges.
“Even though the sign will not be a problem anymore, teachers hope students do not completely ignore the syllabus of class XII as a place Lines, it will be important for students in their academic profiles.
