PORVORIM: Chairman of the Datta Datta Bombay High Court on Tuesday appealed to the state government to establish a full forensic laboratory to ensure rapid justice in a criminal case.
Such a laboratory “will go far in the administration of a better criminal justice in the country”, said the Datta Court while speaking at the formal ceremony marking the start of the judicial process in the New High Court Building in Porvorim.
“We often observed that undue delays were caused in the rapid disposal of criminal cases only because of the unavailability of forensic reports from the Outstation facility,” he said and urged the Head of the Pramod Sawant’s Minister to see “important problems” and “acting wise” and “I have.
Information that the minister’s chairman has set a rolling ball by making an announcement in connection with establishing the Forensic Science Institute.
