New Delhi: Head of General Army M M Naravane was in a four-day visit to England and Italy to discuss steps to improve defense cooperation with both countries.
During his visit to England on July 5-6, he was scheduled to hold talks with the State Secretary for Defense, Defense Chief of Staff and General Staff.
“He will also visit the British army formation,” said an official.
On July 7-8, he will inaugurate the memorial of the Indian army in Cassino, Italy.
More than 5,000 Indian soldiers have dropped their lives while struggling to save Italy in the Battle of Monte Cassino during World War II, the official said.
