Jamshedpur: The day after Duronto Express which was tied to Howrah ran more than four people from a family on a bridge in the Binjai River in Chakradharpur in Singbhum Barat, the Chakradharpur train division has decided to launch a poster campaign and intensify patrols on the railroad to prevent accidents.
“To make people aware of the consequences involved in cross tracks, the division train will stick to posters and leaflets at the station and at the authorized railroad crossing,” said the Senior Division commercial manager (Chakradharpur Division) Manish Pathak.
He added, “We will also intensify the frequency of our patrols on the track.” He further said, “By train train running 130 km / h, the track at the current high-speed Howrah-Mumbai line and therefore the risks involved in violations more than before.” When asked, Pathak said that therefore there was no particular site on track 1346.24 km-long-long under the Chakradharpur division which can be identified as a danger zone.
“In addition to special sites such as the authorized rail crossing, over-bridge feet and subway, there is always a risk involved every time someone crosses the train tracks on unauthorized sites,” he added.
Meanwhile, official RPF Division officials said that Wednesday accidents took place on unauthorized sites.
“The deceased did not cross the track, but they walked to a very dangerous bridge,” RPF officials who asked for anonymity.
The deceased, which is a resident of Barabambambambamba in Syaikela, will go to their relatives’ house in Lodia in Chakradharpur after visiting a bank in the city of Chakradharpur when they were trimmed by the train, Chakradharpur police said, said Kumar Praveen Kumar.
The source in the Chakradharpur division said that there was no provision for monetary compensation to the next KIN in such an accident accordingly.
