Chandigarh: A total of 88 professors are waiting for promotion that must be passed by the PGI Government Agency (GB).
Reason: Pandemic Coronavirus.
The Board Meeting held a recent agenda approved the promotion of 75 assistant professors.
This promotion was recommended by the permanent selection committee from the Institute during the interview held recently.
It takes three years of regular services for assistant professors who are eligible to be promoted as professor associates.
Assistant Professor was assessed by the Committee during interviews at various parameters and found Fit was recommended.
Also, 40% of professors qualified to be designated as senior professors.
The Department Promotion Committee in his meeting in February has recommended 13 professors as a senior professor who has also been approved by GB.
