Chandigarh: About 300 more e-bike has arrived for public bicycle sharing projects in the city.
1,250 bicycles should reach the second phase of the project ending on October 31.
The work to install the battery along the docking station has begun.
Charging all bikes will be monitored through the application by the Command and Control Center.
“The second phase time is until the end of October, but two more months can be expanded at the company’s request.
However, our priority is to bring all bikes at a schedule.
Officers are in a constant touch with the management of the company and their employees and receive feedback every day,” said source.
Previously, the company had to take a bicycle from the docking station to charge.
Now, with the installation of the charging station begins, the bike will be charged only at the docking station point.
“Charging will be monitored only through the application.
Another aspect will be managed through command and special control centers,” an official said.
More than 90,000 people have registered under the project, according to a rough estimate.
“The public response to the project is very large.
Advanced people to take advantage of facilities every day,” said the source.
Rs 20 for one hour long cycle demanding the cost for bicycles is Rs 20 for one hour and RS10 for half-hour.
The cost is the same for bicycles operated with manual batteries and bikes.
