Kurukshetra: Heritage Development Council Haryana Saraswati (HSHDB) Deputy Chair of Dhuman Singh Kirmach said that the Saraswati channel site in Pipli was being developed as a tourist destination.
Dhuman said this responsibility prepared design for Saraswati Riverfront had been entrusted by HSHDB to the College of Architecture Chandigarh (CCA) affiliated with Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh.

Dhuman Singh said, “HSHDB has prepared a plan to develop Pipli, the entrance to Kurukshetra as a tourism destination .
This site will be developed as a river bank.
The plan has been prepared and the budget has also been decided by the government.

For queries about the budget approved by the government for this project, Dhuman Singh said, “HSHDB government agency under the leadership of Minister Haryana (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar has decided to complete this project in three phases.
For the first phase, CM has approved the budget RS 3 Crore and more will be decided after the first phase job is complete.
We plan to develop Saraswati Riverfront in such a way that tourists including religions coming from Delhi’s side who came from the Delhi visit Amritsar in Punjab also visited Kurukshetra in Haryana.

Dhuman said that the Saraswati channel had really been cleaned before the rainy season by HSHDB.
“Since the last two days, rainwater runs smoothly in the Saraswati channel.
