Chandigarh College of Architecture will prepare the design of Saraswati Riverfront

Kurukshetra: Heritage Development Council Haryana Saraswati (HSHDB) Deputy Chair of Dhuman Singh Kirmach said that the Saraswati channel site in Pipli was being developed as a tourist destination.
Dhuman said this responsibility prepared design for Saraswati Riverfront had been entrusted by HSHDB to the College of Architecture Chandigarh (CCA) affiliated with Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh.

Assistant CCA Professor Vijay said, “Three architects and a photographer visited various Saraswati river channel sites in Pipli and we have surveyed the channel thoroughly.
Our team has understood HSHDB’s plan and therefore, we will submit a proposal for his approval and finally.
Send project design for develop it as a tourist destination.

Dhuman provides detailed information about how this site will be developed as Riverfront and what government plans.
Dhuman Singh said, “HSHDB has prepared a plan to develop Pipli, the entrance to Kurukshetra as a tourism destination .
This site will be developed as a river bank.
The plan has been prepared and the budget has also been decided by the government.
Recently, tourism minister Harwar Kanwar also examined this place and received information about this project.

For queries about the budget approved by the government for this project, Dhuman Singh said, “HSHDB government agency under the leadership of Minister Haryana (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar has decided to complete this project in three phases.
For the first phase, CM has approved the budget RS 3 Crore and more will be decided after the first phase job is complete.
We plan to develop Saraswati Riverfront in such a way that tourists including religions coming from Delhi’s side who came from the Delhi visit Amritsar in Punjab also visited Kurukshetra in Haryana.

Dhuman said that the Saraswati channel had really been cleaned before the rainy season by HSHDB.
“Since the last two days, rainwater runs smoothly in the Saraswati channel.
Irrigation department officials are also ordered to maintain a constant watch in the Saraswati channel so that people do not have to face problems after heavy rain.
The required direction has also been given to officials for continuous cleaning -Reherus from this Saraswati channel, so even during the rainy season, if there is a blockage in drainage of water on the channel, then it will be immediately removed “, Dhuman said.
