Chandigarh Corporation does not cut the Contact Search Team

Chandigarh: Corporation Municipal (MC) will not reduce the number of contact tracing teams even when the Covid-19 case has a decrease, prefers to adopt the waiting and watching policies.
“We do not want to make decisions in a hurry.
Covid-19 infection is still sufficient and reported from various regions in the city.
It is not easy to reduce the team now,” said an official.
“Moreover, because we have employed labor from the Ministry of Health, it becomes difficult to reduce and improve the team regularly,” he added.
In December last year, the MC has increased its team from five to 16, maximum deploying in the southern sector followed by the East Division.
However, last month, seven teams were deployed in the south, five in the east and four in the central zone.
Some multi-purpose workers from the Ministry of Health have also been taken in teams working in coordination with the UT administration health department.
