Chandigarh: Pay to use a vehicle under a public bikesharing project.
After the inspection conducted by Chandigarh Smart City Limited officials, city companies and private companies, civilian bodies allowed the company to start taking allegations from Tuesday afternoon after notifying registered users through the Smart Bike application.
Senior Chandigarh Smart City Limited official said the company had applied all things according to the contract.
They are allowed to start charging from the public, he said.

The vehicle is made free after the user faces the problem in locking and unlocking the bicycle using the application.

According to the previous report submitted by the company, in a month the first phase of the project began in the city, 76,786 vehicles were recorded, on average 2,742 per day.
There are 1,250 cycles and 155 docking stations that are used today and each bicycle used 2.19 times a day on average.
The project is being implemented and operated by smart concession holders of Bike Tech Private Limited, Hyderabad, for a period of 10 years based on public personal partnerships (PPP) at no cost to administration.
But it’s not everything smooth.
