Chandigarh: aims to vaccinate the entire city population (adults who qualified above 18 years) before the third wave increase in Covid-19, UT Dharam PAL advisor has set a target for the Ministry of Health to cover all 7.12 lakh recipients on August 15.
UT advisor Dharam Pal said the instructions had been issued to include beneficiaries that qualified on August 15.
Administration has involved organizations, RWA, religious groups, traders and industrial agencies, to encourage advanced people to vaccinate.
UT also plans to make at least one dose of mandatory vaccination for certain government services.
However, the final decision will be taken soon.
He said the Ministry of Health also sent cellular vaccination vans to various places, including rural areas, so people could just walk and inoculate.
The department will conduct a door-to-door vaccination round from August16 to 31.
