New Delhi: With work approaching completion, Chowk Chowk’s rebuilding project is likely to be inaugurated on September 12 by the Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal.
The decision for this effect was taken at the Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation (SRDC) meeting on Thursday, said an official.
The work to rebuild a 1.3km historic avenue is underway over the past two years, the progress being monitored by the Delhi High Court.
Stretching, which was divided into four parts, covered with 131 CCTV cameras.
Sanjay Bhargav, a member of the committee overseeing the project and Chandni Chowk Sarv Head Vyapar Mandal, said the work of 95-96% was completed and the inauguration would be held on the night of September 12.
Some delayed jobs include relocation of several transformers, the elimination of illegal stockpiling and signs of the toilet complex settlement, among others.
Meanwhile, CM will inaugurate the Culyleave of the Vihar Phase-I flyover at Delhi-Noida Link Road on Saturday.
This step will benefit the commuter traveling from the Mayor of Vihar Phase-I to Akshardham and from Noida to Mayor Vihar Phase-I because they will have an easy trip to these goals after opening two loops.
