Chandrapur gets the first cancer treatment facility

Chandrapur: The center of sophisticated child care chemotherapy has been established at Chandrapur Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) with the help of a cancer and Tata Trusts Foundation, Mumbai.
This is the first cancer treatment facility in this district, which will prove to be beneficial for some patients from not only Chandrapur, but also from neighboring Yavatmal and Gadchiroli countries in Vidarbha, and regions side by side with Telangana.
The number of cancer patients in Chandrapur Regency has increased rapidly in recent years.
Facts arise in the National National Disease Control Program (NNDCP), which began in 2013.
This program is intended to track people with cancer, diabetes, blood pressure and other diseases.
In accordance with the district health department data, oral cancer cases on the number of patients, followed by cases of cervical and breast cancer in the district.
In the absence of treatment facilities here, cancer patients have to go to hospital in Nagpur or Sevagram.
To make maintenance available locally, cancer hospitals have been subject to sanctions at the Chandrapur GMCH place in Pagal Baba Nagar with the help of a cancer treatment foundation and Tata Trust.
Until the construction of cancer hospitals was completed, the Ministry of Health had started the center of life review chemotherapy to treat patients.
There are 8 beds available at the center and service here will be available between 9am and 6pm.
The cancer hospital, built in the 2.35 lakh square feet area, will have 140 bed facilities.
The hospital building will have five floors.
So far, RS113 Crore has been provided from mineral development funds for its construction.
About 50% of work has been completed and hospitals tend to be ready in one year.
GMC Dean Dr.
Nivruti Rathod said the center of the chemotherapy of the day care was officially inaugurated on global cancer day, which was observed in February 4.
Tata Trust has provided all expensive drugs, doctors and staff at the center.
The Indian Medical Association, Chandrapur Branch President, Dr.
Mangesh Gulwade, said many cancer patients knew about their disease in the next stage and panicked.
“People have no choice but to go to Nagpur for care and it’s very expensive too.
Daycare facilities will be very useful for patients here,” he said, promising all help in the name of IMA.
