Ranchi: Implementing the tradition of choosing and respecting the best legislators on the day of the Foundation, Jharkhand Assembly on Monday will make it easier for BJP MLA from Bishramtrampam, Ram Chandra Chandravanshi.
The election committee chaired by Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahto decided to honor Chandravanshi this year with Birsa Munda Memorial Best Legislator Award.
The Assembly also respects the best staff for five people – Secretary with Ramnivas Das, Additional Secretary of Neelesh Kumar Singh, Branch Manager Roshan Kido and Subhash Kumar along with the fourth grade of staff Umesh Kumar Gupta has been chosen.
Chandravanshi was the 18th legislator to receive this award.
Although this is an annual feature, the award ceremony is disrupted in the election year and no legislators were awarded in 2009, 2014 and 2019.
By 2020, JMM Legislator Nalen Soren was chosen for honor.
Chandravanshi, who was previously with RJD, joined BJP in 2014 and served as Minister of Health in the Government of Raghubar Das.
Known because of his polite behavior on the floor of the house, he is among the Rare MLA which is against whom there are no criminal cases.
Chandravanshi was chosen for the Council of Bihar for the first time in 1995.
He lost the first but selected Jharkhand Assembly in 2005, 2014 and 2019 Election Assembly.
Derived from Daltonganj, Chandravanshi popular as educational and social workers.
He was credited to lay the foundation of several higher education institutions in the Palamu Distance Division.
The speaker held a meeting with state government officials to review the last minute preparation for the Foundation Day celebration.
He said the selection of the best legislators and the best assembly staff was the main task.
“The committee consists of the Alam Nature Minister of Alam Meri, Senior BJP MLA Neelkanth Singh Munda, Senior JMM Legislator Stephen Marandi and Convener of Press Advisory Committee Anand Mohan.
The Committee discusses several names and finally chooses one appropriate member,” he said.
