New Delhi: Chandrauran-3, Indian Lunar Mission, is likely to be launched in the 2022 quarter, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Wednesday, emphasizing that his progress was hampered due to the pandemic Covid-19.
In a written response on a question at Lok Sabha, Singh, the state minister was responsible for the Department of Space, said the launch of Chandrainan-3 was rescheduled.
“Chandreation-3 is likely to be launched in the third quarter of 2022 assuming a normal workflow for the next,” he said.
Singh added that the realization of Chandraya-3 involves various processes, including finalization of configuration, realization of subsystems, integration, specific levels of spacecraft testing levels and a number of special tests to evaluate system performance on earth.
“Progress realization was hampered by Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
However, all possible works at work from home mode are taken even during the locking period.
The realization of Chandrauran-3 continues after the start of the key unlocked and is in the realization stage due, he said.
Chandrauran-2, which was aimed at landing rover at the South Pole Pole that had not been mapped, was launched on July 22, 2019 on the most powerful geosinkron launch vehicle in the country.
However, Lander Vikram landed hard on September 7, 2019, crashing into Indian dreams to become the first country to land on the surface of the moon in his first effort.
Chandrauran-3 is very important for Indian space research organizations (ISRO) because it will show the ability of India to make landing for further interplanetary missions.
