Chandigarh: Minister Punjab Chararjit Singh Channi on Monday called on all administrative secretaries to prepare a 100-day comprehensive road map from their respective departments to bring more efficiency and transparency and hand them over to the major secretary in a week.
The core sectors of health and education must be prioritized to provide the best and affordable health care facilities to people in addition to providing quality education to students, especially in rural areas, the chairman’s minister said when leading the first meeting of the administrative secretary.
“I’m soft and soft but please don’t blame my tenderness for something that will make no attention.
I will act against those who will not act for lay people,” warned the minister’s chairman.
He stressed that there must be zero tolerance to corruption at all costs and ordinary works must be done on priority.
Justice must be sent to every citizen regardless of the caste, trust and community, he added.
The minister’s chairman also asked the administrative secretary to tell him if anyone approached them to make a mistake using his name.
The minister’s chairman also explained to the Administrative Secretary to pay homage to ministers, MLA and elected representatives while ensuring that the legal rules must be the only criteria for decision making.
He asked them to ensure the completion of sustainable projects on time in addition to applying welfare measures so that the last person standing in the line can take advantage of its benefits.
Channi also asked the administrative secretary to follow the employee friendly approach to resolve their problems peacefully so they did not have to use agitation.
