Kolkata: The Interior Ministry has restored charity missionary registration under the Regulatory Law on foreign contributions (FCRA) a few days after rejecting the update application because of “adverse input”.
Friday’s step came after the MOC handed over a set of new papers and would allow the organization established by the mother of Teresa to receive new foreign funds and utilize those lying on the FCRA account for philanthropic work.
After the refusal of its application, the organization has requested its 240s strangely for orphans, Destitomes and AIDS patients not to operate their foreign contribution bank accounts, forcing them to reduce costs.
However, on Friday, the MOC was added to the list of NGOs that were eligible to receive foreign funds in Bengal.
The news was immediately praised by sympathizers.
“The power of love and service has won.
We thank God for touching the hearts of the authorities and showing the truth to them.
We thank the authorities to see the truth,” said the Catholic Association of the Bengal President Angelina Mantosh Jasnani.
