Physical OPDs will soon be conducted via the appointment procedure and patients arriving without appointment won’t be entertained.
The PGI must determine on capping of OPD patients.
The clinic is also thinking about to restart operations suspended in opinion of Covid and a single floor of the principal OT will soon be fully operational very shortly.
Just 1 attendant is going to be permitted to accompany an individual into the OPDs.
Prof Ashok Kumar, official spokesperson, PGI, stated,”Now too, tele-consultation will still continue to stay the first stage of contact of doctors and patients.
Patients will be assessed early through tele-consultation.
Just those requiring additional evaluation and evaluation is going to be predicted to this OPD by appointment by Monday.” On April 12, the PGI had closed its walk-in OPD services following a spike in Covid instances were observed.
