Check for inpatient levels, not the pace of pepony to decide on the sidewalk: Goa Panel

PANAJI: The State Expert Committee in Covid-19 recommended to the government on Saturday to consider the number of hospitalization rather than the country’s peposititiveness level as the criteria for determining the severity of the restrictions to be charged.
The committee recommended to the government to impose a 50% limitation at a meeting so hospitalized at the only Covid Hospital currently functional, super-special GMC blocks, crossing 10%.
Dr.
Shekhar Salkar member said that the committee had recommended further restrictions – stopping the restaurant, bar and theater fully, if reception in the SSB cross 40%.
“If receipt goes beyond 50% in SSB, the district hospital will begin to accept patients.
If the district hospital crosses a capacity of 50%, then the highest limitation (May) is imposed by the state in terms of hours of night or kuncian,” he said.
TNN after two hospitals touched a capacity of 50%, the sub-district hospital would be opened for covid patients.
At present, 10% of beds in SSB GMC are occupied.
“The level of participants does not apply in this situation,” Salkar said.
“These waves are not like the last wave.
Reception is very little compared to the second wave.
Only because of the high level of prospective, no need for severe limitation, because 90% does not require acceptance.
We need to implement the behavior that corresponding Covid,” he said.
The committee expects peaks in 10-15 days, and expects cases to more than three times the last wave.
Most deaths so far seen in patients who are very old, and have several comorbidity.
The Omicron variant has not gained a foothold in the state, with an estimate that shows that 50% of cases are still from the Delta variant.
Other expert committee members said that because most cases were very light and that reception was very little, with a rate of 0.5%, it was decided to impose this new criterion to decide on restrictions to protect the economy.
The committee feels that the exercising multilevel approach is not quite reasonable in the current scenario, where the government is advised to cover all tourism activities if the level of participants passes 10%.
The meeting came after the Bombay High Court in Goa on Thursday asked the state government to submit all recommendations from the expert committee and task force, and put the steps taken by the government in the third wave preparation, on January 12.
.
In court, it was shown that the recommendation of the expert committee itself submitted to the High Court last year was not followed.
According to the 8th Expert Committee meeting on August 27, where he decided on the national approach to tourism, it was decided by the committee that if the level of participation was more than 10% and active cases above 5,000, “tourism activities to be closed”.
Minutes were submitted to the High Court last year.
The Expert Committee has stated that if the level of participants crosses 5% and active cases across 2,500, all schools must be closed, border testing begins, the function is limited to 50 in closed halls and 100 in open space, no function / meeting of the main religion is permitted, the restaurant is limited Up to a capacity of 50% with appropriate Covid behavior that is appropriate, and a business company where public meetings will be closed.
In the case of a positive level of more than 10% and 5,000 active cases and above, tourism activities, theaters, gyms, swimming pools and shopping centers must be closed, with transportation functions at a capacity of 50%.
The committee also said that if the position of the participation was more than 20% and active cases above 10,000, the maximum restrictions were implemented when entering the country, along with a total curfew, with only important services permitted.
