Chengalpet District Collector’s problem

Chengalpet: Chengalpet District Administration has issued a flood alert to villages on the banks of the River Palas after rain in the catchment area.
Chengalpet collector A R Rahul Nadh said 6,322 Cusec water was released from Anaicut Market at 10 am on Monday after rain in the water catchment area.
The water that was released from Anaicut is expected to reach the Chengalpet district border at around 7pm on Monday, he said and directed people who lived on the banks of the river not to use lowland bridges.
He directed people not to take a shower or cross the river, wash clothes and especially not to take selfies in the river background in the Spate.
He instructed them not to take livestock to graze near the bank.
The district government has formed a team with income, police and general work departments to monitor villages along the edge of Palas.
