CHENNAI: Three juveniles are arrested for murder following the safety guard of this 500-year-old Theertha Paleeshwarar temple in Mylapore, where they attacked while attempting to crack open the hundi, died in hospital on Sunday.
The four had assaulted watchman Babu, 45along together with the iron and hammer pole they had been employing to crack open the hundi if he seen them raised the alert around two am on June 17.
Babu, a resident of Nadukuppam nearby Ice House, had just two weeks ago united as night watchmen in temple, in which the priests seen just for the evening and morning pujas.
As some citizens accumulated hearing Babu’s shouts, the juveniles scaled off the principal door and fled.
A police patrol containing Parthiban, Kumar, also Sankar came on the scene shortly after and began a cleaning operation in the region simultaneously.

These four were remanded at the correctional center for girls and boys at Kellys.
The wounded Babu was declared to the Government Stanley Hospital (GSH), and also afterwards called the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, where he died on Sunday.
Authorities said that the temple has set up 12 CCTV cameras, that have been turned off through the lockdown.
