Chennai: 4 graduates & friends of Die as a car rams truck

Chennai: Four technical graduates, who came to town to take part in the campus recruitment drive, and their friends lost their lives after their car crashed into a truck parked on Jalan GST on Sunday.
The accident occurred in Perungalihur near Chennai.
The victims were identified as King Ganesh, 21, from Trichy, Naveen, 21, Metto, Ajay, 21, from Trichy, Rahul, 20, from Pulajottai, and Arvind Shankar from Chennai.
Except for Navin, who drives a car, the other is a graduate of the Hindustan University engineering.
They came to the city on Friday to take part in the campus interview scheduled Monday.
On Friday, they went to their college and got the certificate of settlement of their courses.
They lived in their friend’s room in the Kambakkam and had visited several places in Chennai on Saturday.
They decided to go drive to Perungalihur and return to their room when the accident occurred.
The truck loaded with iron stems parked in place for 2 days checked by CCTV camera footage from the crash point and found that around 1:30 a.m., Naveen lost control of the car while trying to follow a truck.
The car hit another vehicle and then hit a truck trailer loaded with iron stems parked on the side of the road.
The body was restored by fire service personnel and rescue after an operating for an hour and sent to Tambaram GH in Chromepet for Postmortem.
The car was completely destroyed and they had to remove bodies from under the truck.
Some motorists said illegal truck parking like that on the roadside believes the risk for other road users.
Officials failed to act against trucks which were still parked in more than two days.
Death can be avoided if the truck is removed from the place, they said.
Relatives and friends of the victims cannot be entertained to see the victims’ bodies in the morgue.
Traffic Investigation Police Chretet has registered a case of driving a rash.
