Chennai: In all, 597 police personnel in the city were awarded the medalist Minister of Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
As many as 208 personnel from the Legal Department and Order, 196 from traffic, 74 of the armed reserve and 168 of the Central Crime Branch (CCB), intelligence parts, control rooms, were chosen for awards.
All together, 497 personnel appeared and received a medal from the Shankar Jiwal commissioner.
The rest of the recipient will be given their medal at the respective police station.
Medals are given to personnel who have provided services that are not deleted in the department.
Speaking on that occasion, Jiwal urged personnel to provide services that are exemplary and get medals.
For the best results, the moral of the police must also be stored at a high level, he said and added 94% of personnel had taken the first dose of the Covid vaccine and 52% had completed their second dose.
He praised those who received medals for their example work.
