Chennai: 5K people booked for Covid FLOUTING norms

Chennai: Chennai police ordered 5,223 people and took 243 vehicles for violating Covid-19 norms on Thursday and collected 10.44 lakh in a fine.
During the first night on Thursday, the police confiscated 567 vehicles.
On Friday, it enrolled 462 cases against those found not wearing masks in the city can remember that to curb the spread of Covid-19, Commissioner of Sankar Jiwal Police had established ‘special mask enforcement team’ at all Chennai police station.
The team patrolled in various regions that fell below their stations boundaries, including markets, beaches, shopping centers, parks, bus stands, and wedding space, urging the public to observe the behavior in accordance with Covid, including wearing masks and social distance.
The police have taken various steps to make people obey the norm.
