Chennai: Despite heavy rain, some Rajinikanth superstar fans waited outside the hospital you were at Alwarpet on Friday to see a glimpse of the actor’s family and learn more about his health.
Rajinikanth underwent a procedure on Friday to get the removed block from the main blood vessels – carotid arteries – on the neck that supplied blood to the brain, neck and face.

The actor was hospitalized after the giddiness episode on Thursday night.
After an evaluation by a team of doctors, it is recommended revascularization of carotid arteries – surgical procedures to remove blocks from the inner of the carotid artery to restore normal blood flow to the brain.
“This procedure was successfully carried out today,” a medical bulletin of Koefiely Co-Founder Kauvy and Executive Director Dr.
Aravindan Selvaraj said.
The actor will be dismissed from the hospital after a few days, he added.
However, hospitals, limited entries for visitors and as precautions, city police posted at least 30 police and Jalan Barriturade to ensure the security and movement of free traffic in Junction Alwarpet.
Fans also questioned doctors and nurses who moved and left the hospital about actor’s health status.
