Chennai: The slowdown in southwest monsoon in other areas might be good news for Chennai and neighboring districts because the weather has expected to rainfall for at least three days starting this weekend.
During the next 48 hours, IMD has expected a storm with light rain to occur in several regions in the city and its environment.
The sky tends to be generally cloudy while the maximum and minimum temperature will be around 35 deg C and 26 deg C.
n Puvarazan from the regional meterology center said the rain would be the result of convective activities that move from the east and low-level troughs from the West supported by warm temperatures in the state .
“From Saturday to Monday, almost all districts in the state may receive several spells, some regions may even get heavy rainfall.
Chennai could expect rain on Saturday morning and again,” he said.
