Chennai: Chennai’s corporation on Friday confiscated 16 cows and fined the number of owners of Rs 1,550 per head.
Chennai Corporation Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi told TI that the Civic body had received many complaints on cattle roaming the road.
“We have placed a cow in our warehouse.
We will release them after the owner pays a fine,” he said.
The Commissioner said the Civic body would drive like that throughout the city.
The owner was asked to tie the cow.
