Chennai: Couple in luxury car steal two goats in Korattur

CHENNAI: Police are searching for a couple who stole two goats tied to a post in front of a house in Korattur early on Friday.
Officers collected CCTV camera footage from the area which showed that the couple had arrived and escaped in a luxury car.
Officers are now tracking the vehicle registration number.
Police said complainant Indira, 56, of Amman Koil Street in Korattur, woke up suddenly in the middle of the night on hearing the goats bleating continuously.
She rushed outside to find a couple dumping her goats into their and fleeing the spot.
Based on Indira’s complaint, the Korattur police registered a case and browsed through the footage collected from the nearby residences and shops.
Indira, in her complaint, also claimed to have noticed a child sitting inside the car.
Police are checking if the couple were involved in theft in the past.
Further investigations are on.
