CHENNAI: A senior citizen couple, citizens of Ambattur, died one after another because of Covid-19 on Monday. Nandagopal, 79, along with Karpagam, 69, were at home isolation in accordance with the recommendations of the physicians. Once they complained of breathlessness that they had been hurried to the Omandurar Government Hospital. But, their condition recovers following their oxygen level dropped further. On Monday, Nandagopal died of the disease and a couple hours after, his spouse Karpagam also cried, however she did not understand her husband had died earlier. Nandagopal was running a manufacturing company on Vellalar Street at Ambattur, authorities said.
