Chennai: Covid norms are rejected in shopping centers

Chennai: a decent fine does not act as a deterrent as a shopping complex in T Nagar, Purasawalkam and a similar hub cannot get their joint actions in the crowd control in their buildings.
Other public collection sites such as Marina Beach are also reasons for Covid’s appropriate behavior because all precautions are thrown into the wind.
Only on Saturday, the Civic body has collected Hospital 3.3 lakh both of the 26 shopping complexes in T Nagar and rice including popular shopping complexes, Saravana shops.
However, on Sunday it was a recurring scene in the shopping and commercial complex in T Nagar.
When Tii watched several shops in T Nagar, there was no breathing room in it when the public was swept away with each other.
“Onus is located in the commercial complex management in ensuring that the Covid protocol is followed.
We will talk to their associations in the coming days to ensure that the norms do not run,” said a senior official with City Corporation and quoted that their team had worked all the time and finite these companies.
“On Sunday, 64 stores found Norma Fluting and total Rs 1.43 lakh were collected in this shopping center,” the official release said.
In Chennai, the total RS 2.09 lakh was collected.
The Civic’s body said they had fined 6,130 companies since May and collected Rs 32.2 lakh well to date.
Similar enforcement was also expanded to the wedding room and 39 places fined to date, officials said.
Commercial complex representatives on their side said that they had made efforts to try their best level in controlling the crowd.
“In this pandemic, our business is also hit.
We may not turn our customers.
Our staff swayed around the complex and advised the community to ensure that they used a mask at any time,” said a commercial spokesman in T Nagar.
Some companies have online radio settings where Covid awareness messages are on the speaker to remind buyers to ensure social distance and that every customer wears a mask all the time, but it seems futile.
“We have worked with Chennai Corporation and have vaccinated several of our staff and shop managers and retail partners.
All efforts were taken to ensure that the right norm Covid was followed,” said Mall representatives in the city.
