Chennai Customs Officer Saves Olive Ridley Turtle

Chennai: The sea patrol team from Customs Chennai has saved the life of the Ridley Turtle olive which was entangled in a fishing net in the sea.
According to a statement from Customs, the Mixed Fire Team patrols led by Customs Supervisors SS Abdul Nassar, on supervision, seeing objects floating in high sea.
The ship was taken near a floating object and was identified as a sea turtle struggling for life because it was entangled in a torn fish net.
The officers raised the turtle from the sea to the ship, and a clean string around the turtle was repelled carefully without causing injury.
Then, the turtle was left to the sea.
Olive Ridley Turtle is considered a “endangered species.”
