Chennai: Former Minister of AIADMK M R Vijayabhaskar, facing cases of disproportional assets registered by the Directorate of Precautions and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), questioned by the second day of the body on Tuesday.
He was asked to appear for the next round of investigation after Diwali, according to his request.
“On Tuesday, Vijayabaskar appeared before the DVAC team for an investigation and was questioned from 11am to 13:30.
After that he asked him to allow him to attend the case related to the civil polling submitted by him in the High Court.
He further asked DVAC.
To continue the investigation after Deepavali, “said an official.
On Monday, the former Minister reached DVAC headquarters around 11am and left at around 7pm, after he filed a written request to go home.
He was asked to return on Tuesday morning.
The agency in July this year conducted a raid on 26 places on charges of ownership of assets worth 2.7 crore disproportionate with the source of its known revenue when he came to power from 2016 to 2021.
Vijayabhaskar was the first Minister of Aiamdk who came under the DVAC scan after DMK Ruling in May this year.
His wife Vijyalakshmi and Brother Sekhar have also been shown as accused in this case.
