Chennai: The five gang tried to eliminate their rival gang members in Pulianthope, but the police managed to thwart their efforts by arresting five rowdies in Otteria.

They were identified as P Chella aka Chelladurai, 22, S Mani aka Manikandan, both of Veerapuram, G Ramesh aka Parotta Seenu, 23, from Otteri, S Rajesh Khanna, 27, and S Vinod Kumar, 18, both of Perumbakkam .
Preliminary questions revealed that they were all colleagues from Brother Chella Manickam who were arrested.
