Chennai: Four cows and one buffalo died after being shocked when they stepped in a puddle of water near EB Polein Medavakkam on Thursday.
The fire officer said the living wire had snapped and fell into the water a few minutes before the accident.
The spectators saved the pastor, Adi Kesavan, a resident of Medavakkam, and warned the police and firefighting personnel.
In the information, the personnel team led by the Daulat Batcha Station officers visited the place and disconnected the connection to the electricity pole, before saving the body of five livestock.
Veterinarians from Medavakkam visited the place and did postmortem places.
