Chennai likely to remain dry in days ahead

CHENNAI: The city is likely to remain dry in the coming days with temperatures likely to hover a degree above normal.
IMD officials said while southern and interior districts have chances of rainfall in the next two days, Chennai may receive rainfall only over the weekend.
For the next 48 hours, IMD has forecast the sky condition in the city and suburbs likely to be partly cloudy.
Maximum and minimum temperature will be around 38˚C and 28˚C.
“Clouds are developing but it rains mostly outside the city.
Chennai has a chance of getting rainfall on June 27th along with the rest of areas along TN coast,” said N Puviarasan, director, Area Cyclone Warning Centre, IMD.
On Wednesday, Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded 38.1°C and 38.3°C, which were 1.4°C and 1.2°C above normal.
