Chennai: Police on Wednesday arrested a car driver under the protection of children from sexual violations (Pocso) acting and releasing it in custody of the judiciary for kidnapping a 13-year-old child in his car and abusing him sexually at his home near Thirumullaivoyal late Tuesday , The boy had to fight for almost five hours in his bathroom, where he was detained by the defendant, before he was saved by the police.
The police said the child returned from the garment factory near his house after giving some items provided by his mother on Tuesday when Kumaresan, 29, intercepted him and offered to drop his house.
Even though the child was hesitant to take a vehicle, he forced him to enter.
Instead of dropping his house, he drove his vehicle to his house.
He dragged him to his house and began to abuse him sexually when he cried for help.
Panic that he would get caught, he dragged him to the toilet and locked it before running from the place.
The mother’s mother approached the police control room after she failed to track it.
A team from the Women’s Police Station Avadi checked CCTV camera recordings along the route and found the driver talking to the child.
He was later identified as M Kumaran from Thirumullaivoyal.
The police went to look at him at his home when they heard children mammal in the toilet.
They opened the door lock and found it lying in a dark toilet.
He was saved and sent to a private hospital.
