Chennai: A 27-year-old man who posed as an IAS officer and distributed fake business cards had landed in prison.
The defendant, N Subash, from Virugambakkam, claimed that he worked as a joint secretary of the government and was attached to the Department of House and Rural Development.
On January 1, Subash called the control room and notified that four men followed him in a two-wheeled vehicle and had intercepted his car and harassed it.
Because Subash told the police control room that he was an IAS officer, the police rushed to the place and arrested the four men.
Then, when the police tried to contact Subash, he remained unreachable.
Because of suspicion, the police examined the department concerned and found that no officer worked there.
Hunting launched his Edfor.
On Saturday, Subash gave up at the police station.
He uses a fake identity to complete something easily.
