Chennai Metro gets back 60% of pre-covid passengers

Chennai: Despite losing protection from technicians and students working and attending homes from home, Metro Rail has managed to recover 60% of his pre-covid passengers in less than a month after the train service continues after locking.

On July 18 and June 30, 47,043 people traveled on the Metro train.
It jumped to 65,468 on July 15.
On Friday, the number was 69,794, which was the highest since June 21.
Metro Rail officials say most of their passengers now include private and government office staff, which may be permanent visitors, some air passengers and the rest of those who use train services for one fast trip.
“We also extended our service timings for a week starting at 5:30 a.m.
to 9pm and our top hour service was about an hour in the morning and at night, because our footsteps began to increase, and we wanted to make sure the passengers who took the Covid protocol like Keep physically away on the train, “said an official.
The Middle Metro station has recorded footsteps the highest average of 3,905, followed by Thirumbalamalam with 2,061, a 2,311 high court and airport with 2.302.
