CHENNAI: After 43 times, Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) buses return on town streets on Monday.
On day one,1,800 buses have been worked.
This comprised 925 ordinary-fare buses by that girls, transgenders and handicapped people went for free to the very first time.
Shipping ministry RS Rajakannappan introduced the specially-printed tickets to all these passengers and stated the government has offered Rs 1,200 crore as subsidy to this statement from the CM month.
After scrutinizing preparedness in Central Depot, Rajakannappan advised reporters nearly 85 percent of those MTC workforce was vaccinated and approximately 2,800 buses were disinfected and prepared for performance, But more passengers came in bus stops, especially in the suburbs, more than anticipated.

Meanwhile, the one MTC bus met with an accident in Poonamallee after among the leading auto burst.
The driver and three passengers suffered minor injuries.
