Chennai: Only vaccinated passengers are permitted on the suburban train

Chennai: Southern Railway will only allow people who are vaccinated to travel on the suburban train in Chennai starting January 10 to the end of the month.
Ordering suburban tickets in the UTS cellular application has been suspended.
This rule does not apply to people traveling in letters / trains.
Given the surge in Covid-19 cases, suburban trains will only be operated with 50% of the seating capacity.
The fine RS 500 will be collected in people who do not wear masks at the station and train.
The passengers must produce a second dose vaccination certificate or final certificate along with proof ID for ticket problems including season tickets.
Those who hold a season ticket must show a vaccination certificate to the ticket staff.
SR also appealed to passengers to wear masks, maintain social distance and wash their hands regularly at the station and trains.
